WILLIAM J. CLINTON
(b. 1946) Forty-second President of the United States, the first elected president to be impeached. CLINTON PROCLAIMS 'MEMORIAL DAY' Typed D.S. as Governor on State of Arkansas letterhead, 1p. folio, Little Rock, May 23, 1989, an executive proclamation declaring May 29, 1989 to be 'Memorial Day' in Arkansas and urging 'all citizens to join in observances...to honor those who have fallen in defense of the United States.' A gilt state seal has been affixed at lower-left. Clinton boldly signs 'Bill Clinton' at lower-right, and Arkansas Secretary of State BILL MCCUEN cosigns beneath. The document has been tipped to a blue backing via two metal eyelets at top. Fine condition.
