AN ANTIQUE ENGRAVING BY H. BURGKMAYR
Antique engraving by Hans Augsburg Burgkmayr (1473 - 1531), German painter and woodcarver, possibly a student of Schongauer in Colmar in 1488. Later he was influenced by Dürer. The engraving depicts a multi-figured battle scene in detail.
