George Goodwin Kilburne I, English, 1839 to 1924, rare limited edition original photo engraving on paper, Colonial Home with Horse, 1893. From Charles M. Kurtz, Illustrations from the Art Gallery of the Worlds Columbian Exposition, Philadelphia: George Barrie, publisher. Signed and dated June 89 in the plate lower right. Additionally inscribed in pencil lower to the center. Copyrighted 1893 by Geo Barrie upper to the center. George Goodwin Kilburne was an English genre painter specializing in accurately drawing interiors with figures. He favored the watercolor medium, although he also worked in oils, pencil, and in his early career, engraving.
