Giles Gilbert Scott, British, 1880 to 1960, a pencil on paper drain gin depicting a rural landscape titled The Cross Road to lower center. Signed lower left. Matted and framed. Circa the mid 20th century. Giles Gilbert Scott was an architect known for his work on the New Bodleian Library, Cambridge University Library, Lady Margaret Hall, Oxford, Battersea Power Station, Liverpool Cathedral, and designing the iconic red telephone box. The lot also includes a copperplate print titled Chinese temple in Nieuhof, Tey Wang Myan by Jacques Nicolas Bellin, French, 1703 to 1772, a hydrographer, geographer, and member of the French intellectual group called the philosophes. Matted and framed. Circa the late 18th century. Antique Prints And Mid Century Drawing For Collectors.
