FRENCH DANCE PRINT AFTER PIERRE AUGUSTE RENOIR
An offset lithograph print on paper, Study for Dance in the Country, Aline Charigot and Paul Lhote, after the original pencil drawing on paper, 1883, by Pierre Auguste Renoir, French, 1841 to 1919. Signed in print lower left. Framed. Pierre-Auguste Renoir was a French artist who was a leading painter in the development of the Impressionist style. As a celebrator of beauty and especially feminine sensuality, it has been said that Renoir is the final representative of a tradition which runs directly from Rubens to Watteau.
