ANTIQUE CHINESE QING RED CINNABAR BOX AND PLAQUE
An antique Chinese Qing dynasty red carved cinnabar lacquer circular lidded box. The top is carved with a medallion depicting young boys under the tree within a flower patterned rim. The body shows similar scenes in a traditional landscape. The interiors and the base are coated with blue enamel. The lots also include a fine carved red cinnabar plaque depicting the garden scene with two figures under the tree. Circa the early 20th century.
