RUSSIAN TRAVEL ICON HOLY TRINITY IN SILVER OKLAD
Russian Orthodox travel icon of the Holy Trinity of the Old Testament. The mixed media painting: egg tempera, gesso, and levkas on a wood board. The icon is overlaid with a Silver oklad or riza, adorned with repousse decor and engraved detailed patterns. Inscribed upper to the center. Marked with an 84 standard Silver hallmark, and other Cyrillic and Assay marks. Trinity, in Christian doctrine, the unity of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit as three persons in one Godhead.
