The lot includes an antique wood engraving depicting a portrait of Abraham Lincoln. Engraved by T. Johnson, from the original negative owned by George B. Ayres, Esq., Philadelphia. Photographed about 1860 by Hesler, Chicago. Signed in print on the lower left: T. Johnson. Inscribed in pencil on the lower left margin: Century - Nov. 1886. And a wood engraving made after the 1861 photograph, Abraham Lincoln, first portrait with a full beard. Titled on the lower margin: A. Lincoln January 26, 1861 Springfield Ill. American Historical Memorabilia, Antique Prints And Multiples For Wall Decor.
