RUSSIAN WINTER PAINTING BY STANISLAV ZHUKOVSKY
Stanislav Zhukovsky, Russian, 1873 to 1944, oil on canvas landscape painting depicting a winter forest view. Signed lower right. Framed. With the gift inscription to the back. Stanislav Yulianovich Zhukovsky was a Polish Russian painter and a member of Mir Iskusstva. He left a legacy from capturing Russian landscapes and pre-revolutionary sites and the interior of Russian estate houses. In 1923, he left the Soviet Union for his ancestral homeland Poland.
