ANTIQUE LATE 19TH C SPANISH GILT BRONZE DOOR KNOBS
A nice pair of antique Spanish Hand of Fatima ormolu door knockers, each modeled as a hand holding a sphere, decorated with embossed lacy cuffs and other patterns. The hand of Fatima, also known as the Hamsa was supposed to offer protection against the evil eye. Hand of Fatima door knockers are found extensively in Spain which was under Moorish occupation for centuries. Circa: 19th century.
