A vintage mixed media painting on paper depicting a portrait of a lady with a dog after the original watercolor painting on paper, The Woman in The Fur, 1925 by Kees Van Dongen, Dutch, French, 1877 to 1968. Inscribed, Van Dongen, lower right. Framed. Kees Van Dongen is known for Fauve and expressionist painting-aristocratic portraits. Bold vibrant colors used in paintings of socialites, prostitutes, dancers and circus people are the works of Kees van Dongen. During his life, he was part of both the fauvism and expressionism Modern Art movements. One of a kind artwork.
