Complete set of two volumes in octavo, First Edition. Published by Boudouin in Paris, 1829. Leather binding with gilding on the spine. Large engraved folding map and 11 plates. Each volume has an exlibris on the title page, Emile Mahe en Granville. Gilbert du Motier, Marquis de Lafayette, 1757 to 1834, was a French aristocrat, freemason, and military officer who volunteered to join the Continental Army, led by General George Washington, in the American Revolutionary War.
