RUSSIAN PAINTING BY ALEKSANDR YAKOVLEV W CERTIFICATE
A tempera painting on board by Alexander Evgenievich Yakovlev, titled At the foot of the Karakoram Mountain. The foreground of the landscape is detailed, while the background is given with expressive broad strokes, giving the whole picture lightness and airiness. The color is soft, with dominant shades of blue. The works date of creation is approximately 1920 to 1930, according to the Russian State Scientific Research Institute of Restoration certificate of authenticity included with the painting. The certificate is hand signed by the head of the Expertise Sector M. Krasilin. Alexander Yakovlev, 1887 to 1938, Russian painter and graphic artist, who mostly painted in the neoclassical style, lived in exile after 1917.
