COUNT BASIE PORTRAIT TONY MUNZLINGER FROM JAZZ BOOK
Tony Munzlinger, German, born 1934, an illustration from the book Jazz, which was published by Edition Galatis Lugano in 1965, depicting the portrait of William James Count Basie, an American jazz pianist, organist, bandleader, and composer. In 1935, he formed the Count Basie Orchestra, and in 1936 took them to Chicago for a long engagement and their first recording. Tony Munzlinger is a painter and cartoonist who also works as a filmmaker, satirist and designer. American Jazz Illustrations And Music Prints For Collectors.
