JAPANESE WOODBLOCK PRINT BY NOBUKAZU YOSAI
Nobukazu Yosai, Japanese, 1872 to 1944, triptych woodblock print titled Chinese Snipers Attack Japanese Officers. The piece belongs to the series titled The First Sino-Japanese War and was published in 1894 by Tsujioka Bunsuke. As a historical depiction of the First Sino-Japanese War, 1894 to 1895, this triptych offers a vivid portrayal of the intense and chaotic battlefield. Inscribed.
