A rare antique Russian medical book, the first edition of the book, Reflexes of The Brain, by Ivan Sechenov. St. Petersburg, 1866. Bound with leather spine. In the classic work, Reflexes of the Brain, 1866, Ivan Sechenov substantiated the reflex nature of the conscious and unconscious activity, showed that the basis of mental phenomena is physiological processes that can be studied by objective methods. Stamped and inscribed inside. Ivan Mikhailovich Sechenov, 1829 to 1905, was a Russian scientist naturalist, physiologist, teacher and educator.
