Maria Alexandrovna Nesterova Berzina, Russian, Soviet era, 1897 to 1965, mixed media painting on paper mounted on canvas, the original unique illustration, maquette for the poster, Twice Hero of the Soviet Union P.A. Pokryshev. Circa 1940s. Signed lower right. Pyotr Afanasievich Pokryshev, 1914 to 1967, was a Soviet soldier, participant of the Great Patriotic War, ace pilot, twice Hero of the Soviet Union. Maria Alexandrovna Nesterova Berzina was a Soviet poster artist, painter; author of advertising, social, military and sports posters. Member of the Union of Artists of the USSR. WWII Era Russian Soviet Posters, and Collectibles. One of a kind artwork.
