ATTR TO FRANCOIS MAURY IMPRESSIONIST OIL PAINTINGS
Attributed to Francois Maury, French, 1861 to 1933, a lot of three oil paintings on board depicting rural coastal scenes in the manner of Impressionism. Each is signed by the artist, lower left. Framed. Francois Maury was a prolific French painter whose subjects were broad reaching including figure, genre, landscape and still life. He particularly excelled at landscapes and it is in this genre that we see his debt to the Barbizon School. Maurys naturalism, mood, and application of paint are all inspired by the Barbizon movement. Vintage and Modern European Fine Art, Rural Genre Scenes, Landscapes, Oil Paintings, Wall Art, and Collectibles. One of a kind artwork.
