RUSSIAN SOVIET AGITATIONAL POSTER BY NIKOLAI KOGOUT
A Russian, early Soviet era, lithographic agitational poster, s Novim Godom, Happy New Year, depicting a soldier and Rogozhka Village near Nishni Novgorod, designed by Nikolai Kogout, Russian, 1891 to 1959. Signed in plate lower right. Published by Polytupravleniya RVSR, Moscow, 1921. Nikolai Nikolaevich Kogout was a Soviet graphic artist and one of the founders of the heroic poster during the Civil War.
