MODERN BRITISH ETCHING AQUATINT BY JULIAN TREVELYAN
Julian Trevelyan, British, 1910 to 1988, etching and aquatint with soft ground scrim wipe, Piazza Signoria. Circa: 1965 to 1966. Signed in pencil, lower right. Titled in pencil, lower to the center. Numbered 91 of 100 in pencil, lower left. Framed. Julian Trevelyan, also known as Julian Otto Trevelyan, was a British artist associated with Surrealism. He specialized in etching. Trevelyan lived in Hammersmith. He was educated at the Bedales School and Trinity College, Cambridge. His notable peers included Max Ernst, Oskar Kokoschka, Joan Miró, and Pablo Picasso. Trevelyan received the senior fellowship at the Royal College of Art and was a Royal Academician. His works are held in the collections of the River and Rowing Museum, the Pallant House Gallery, and the Tate Gallery. Modern English Graphic Art prints and Collectibles.
