With a long and rich history dating back to the 2nd century BC, these vessels were utilized to transport and store precious commodities, including wine, oil, and grains. These amphoras played a vital role in the prosperity of the Roman empire, as they facilitated trade with neighboring countries, as well as the distant corners of the empire.
