Long Letter from Rabbi Avraham Aharon Katz, the Av Beis Din of Nitra. 1925
Very long handwritten and signed letter regarding the issuing of a heter (permit) for an agunah (wife whose husband’s whereabouts and fate are unknown) to remarry.
Rabbi Avraham Aharon Katz (1869-1937) was the son of Rabbi Moshe Katz, the Av Beis Din of Nitra, and a student of the Shevet Sofer. Rabbi Avraham became a rabbi and dayan in Nitra in 1901 and succeeded his father as Av Beis Din in after is death in 1926.
