Original Oil on Board by Glen Fortune Banse (1948-2018) Entitled "American Bandstand Revisited". Signed Lower Right. Dated '89. Signed and noted on back of canvas. Measures 32.5" tall x 38.5". wide. Framed. The frame has some scratching. Glen Fortune Banse (1948-2018) (aka Banse, Wayne Howell, Etienne and many other names) was born in Camden, New Jersey in 1948. He attended Ottawa University, Kansas State and The New School For Social Research in New York City, and has been a professional artist for close to 50 years. He was a co-partner in 3 Art Publishing businesses which specialized in Fine Art Signed and Numbered Limited Edition Lithography, Etchings and other fine art mediums. While publishing his own work, he was also the Art Director of all three companies and had the pleasure of working with, directing, and instructing hundreds of great nationally and internationally known artists such as Peter Max, Will Moses, John Pitre, Sarah Churchill (Daughter of Winston Churchill), Gerald Lubeck, Yanni Posnikov, and the world-famous Mr. Blackwell of Hollywood's 10 Worst Dressed List presented each year. Throughout the 1990's Glen was Personal Assistant, Confidant and Agent to Television Pioneer and Legend "Buffalo Bob" Smith of Howdy Doody fame, spending many years crisscrossing America with the Iconic Duo. Glen more recently focused his energy on Oils, presenting a well diversified subject matter. His works and portraits have been commissioned by the state of New Jersey, with pieces on permanent display in various State Buildings throughout the Garden State.
