MOTTAHEDEH SALMON SWAN 30 PIECE SERVICE FOR 6
Salmon hued swirl border with raised swan scenic design. Complete Service for 6 with Dinner Plates, Salad Plates, Bread Plates, Cups, and Saucers for a total of 30 pieces! Marked Mottahedeh Vista Allegre Portugal.
The world famous Mottahedeh China factory produced two patterns that carefully reproduced the historic Meissen "Swan Service" designed by Johann Kaendler in 1737. The central design motif of the Meissen pattern is flowing water symbolizing the eternal course of life with the dominant image of the swan floating amidst reeds, herons and fish. Mottahedeh's "Salmon Swan" pattern faithfully reproduces this but adds a modern twist with a salmon colored border with gold trim. This is an exquisite embossed pattern that is discontinued and hard to find.
