Loran Frederick Wilford (1893 - 1972) Watercolor & Gouache on paper, Signed Lower Right & Signed/Titled on verso "Rainy Day Newtown Sarasota", Measures (7.5 x 11 inches) w/frame (22 x 26 inches) He was a magazine illustrator in the 30s and again in the 40s and taught art, mostly watercolor, at Ringling School Of Art at Sarasota FL, for 33 years. He was a member of the Salmagundi Club, Sarasota Art Association, Bradenton, (FL) Art League and Royal Water Color Society in London England. The various members of the Wilford Family have many original paintings, watercolors and original magazine illustrations back to 1920s
