Antique c1850 Signature Goose in the Pond Quilt
Antique c1850s Goose in the Pond Quilt with Name Inscriptions or Signatures. Measures 75x77 inches. Comprised of 25 blocks, set straight, 5 by 5, with a print sashing and border. Small print cotton reverse and cotton batting. Front is brought to the back to finish the edge and applied by hand. It is hand pieced and hand quilted. Names include Sarah Beard, Jackson Beard, Sarah E Beard, Mary C Beard, Mary Moore, Eliza Bitler, Hannah Bitler, Henry Bitler, James Dickinson, Mary Amelia DIckinson and more. It was purchased at a Westfield NJ Estate sale in the 1990s. It appears to have been washed. In good condition with a several Turkey red prints starting to pop. And there is a conservation effort along the bottom. We do our best to describe all items in detail and provide pictures. If you have any doubt, please ask questions! We will provide extra pictures, or can schedule an in person or video conference preview at your convenience. In house Flat Rate Shipping of $25 is a domestic shipping estimate. We will gladly combine multiple lots for your convenience and economy. Depending on how many lots we can pack, it may cost an additional $5.
