A ROMAN BRONZE SHOVEL
Ca. 1st-2nd century CE. Decorated with pointed circles and the handle is made in the form of a pillar with a Corinthian column, terminating in a leaf. Very minor damage. In very good condition 27.2 cm. For similar shovels, see. Y. Yadin, Bar-Kokhba, 1971, p. 94. Ex S.M. collection, Herzliya Pituah.
