Medal to mark the 70th anniversary of the birth of Yitzhak Noah Manheimer. Cast bronze. Austria, 1863.
Obverse: Portrait of Mannheimer and the caption "Dr. I. N. Mannheimer Prediger der Israelit Gemeinde in Wien".
Reverse: "Zum Siebzigsten Geburtstage" and ""בשרתי צדק בקהל רב / הנה שפתי לא אכלא / ה' אתה ידעת" Psalms.
Isaac Noah Mannheimer (1793-1865) - preacher and Jewish community leader born in Denmark, the prominent spiritual leader of Vienna Jewry from 1824 until his death. From the Fathers of the Vienna Version (the compromise between the traditional Jews and the reformers in the Great Synagogue of Vienna, regarding the sacramental work, in the first half of the 19th century).
