Hand drawn anti-Semitic postcard by ink (signed). [Romania], c. 1900. Drawing of a Jew with a stereotypical face with a long nose next to a drawing of a beetle for comparison.
It is known about several anti-Semitic postcards distributed at the end of the 19th century which juxtaposed the face of the Jew in next to various animals in order to humiliate the Jews, and to present the Jewish race as inferior among races. See "La carte postale antisemite" by Gerard Silvain and Joel Kotek p. 127 and onwards.
