Yosef Moshe Kromer - The Jerusalemite Who Predicted the Holocaust of European Jewry - Two booklets "Ha'Tzofeh Le'beit Yisrael" -

Two booklets by Yosef Moshe Kromer in which he warns and prophesies the Holocaust of German Jewry, and more. An interesting publication in a limited edition of 5000 copies with a special statement obliging anyone who receives the booklet to read it for 8 days and pass it on to another person, on condition that if they do not do so they must return the book to the author. In the booklet, the author warns again and again of the great danger soon to befall the Jewish community of Berlin under Hitler’s government if they do not repent, and more. Includes consent from Rabbi Kook, Rabbi Hildesheimer, and other rabbis.

At the opening of the first booklet, the author presents letters and memoranda that he wrote to Emperor Wilhelm II’s palace in which he prophesies and warns that the Kaiser is destined to be deposed, and shows that despite their dismissive response, all his early prophecies indeed came true. From there he deals with the subject for which the booklet was written – the danger looming over German Jewry. In letters he wrote and sent to the Jewish community of Berlin in 1931-1932 he warns of the danger of Hitler, and of the terrible disaster soon to befall German Jewry: “If you do not repent your evil ways, the Hitlerite system will henceforth be fulfilled, for Hitler is nothing but the best alarm clock to awaken the Hebrew people to repentance...”, and calls on German Jewry to repent, writing: “For approximately thirteen years I have been prophesying to the Jewish community in Berlin what will happen to the Jews there, if they do not return to the Jewish foundation according to the Torah...” In another letter from October 6, 1931 to the leaders of the Jewish community in Berlin: “Hesitate no more, because swift assistance for Jewry is sorely needed and you do not know what awaits Jewry, and if you truly want the good of German Jewry and of all Israel, then do as I ask you... I again request you take my words to heart so that an exceptionally terrible disaster does not befall Jewry, for no man can help us...”. The booklet contains several letters he wrote during 1931-1932 and sent to the leadership of the Jewish community in Berlin, all warning that if they do not repent, a great disaster will occur, and expresses his disappointment that they are ignoring his words: “It is precisely my brothers, for whom the greatest danger looms and who have no hope for help from any other man – who trample my calls which I have proclaimed to them for years...” In another letter to the Berlin community he writes: “Please immediately act according to my call of October 6 last year in order not to bring, heaven forbid, destruction on innocent children and elderly... I request you consider wisely, why everything will be destroyed and obliterated? Jews must not wait for help from other nations. You do not know or believe what enemy stands at your gates! If the honored leadership of the Jewish community continues to ignore my letters, I predict that soon a fire will erupt that will blaze and not be quenched! And just as you did not listen to my words over the years, so God will not listen to you when the severe persecutions begin, and the corrupt sons will call upon him.”

Also appear letters he wrote to the Jews of Eretz Israel about the dangers expected from the British who will bar entry to the country, and from the Arabs who will rise up violently, if they do not repent.

At the beginning of the booklet “Ha'Tzofeh Le'beit Yisrael” is an approbation from Rabbi Kook testifying about the author “that he is G-d-fearing and strives to benefit the public”, as well as an approbation from Rabbi Meir Hildesheimer writing about the author: “Over the many years I have known him I have learned to admire him”.
