First edition of the famous article in which the notable Romanist of the late 19th and early 20th centuries, Carolina Michaelis, proves that the “L” that precedes the Latin name of André de Resende (1500-1573), the Dominican friar and great Portuguese humanist thinker who was also Dom Duarte's teacher, is actually an abbreviation of “Lucius” and not “Licencidado”. Very rare.
