Latin translation of the important work of Muhammad Alfagrano, an important Persian astronomer, who left several written works. This work was originally translated into Latin by John of Seville and Gerard of Cremona. The translation of this edition is by Jacob Christmann (1554-1613) from the Hebrew translation by Anatoli. The translator includes an extensive commentary on the Egyptian, Roman and Persian calendars, probably derived from Anatoli, also adding an appendix to the original work, at the end of which he mentions the difficulties in carrying out the work due to the lack of Arabic sources, wishing to publish a good edition, which demonstrates the importance and influence of Arab science in Renaissance Europe. Very rare and important.
