Interesting diary, with many historical notes on the period after the Civil War, seen by a British officer on assignment in the Peninsula. His notes are very interesting because they have not been the subject of any revision or addition to the diary that the officer kept during his trip, finding in them several praises for the Portuguese nation, without failing to point out some problems that, in his opinion, it found. Despite the title, most of the work is about Portugal. Rare.
