SYLVESTER STADLER
(1910 - 1995) Waffen-SS commander of the Regiment Der Fuhrer and the SS-Panzer Division 'Hohenstaufen' from July 1944. Severely wounded several times, he was awarded the Gold Close Combat Clasp and the Knight's Cross with Oak Leaves and Swords. Signed black-and-white photograph, 6.75 x 9 inches, signed in black ink 'Silvester Stadler Rgt. Kdr. DF Fuhrerhauptquartier, 17 Sept. 43' showing Adolf Hitler presenting Stadler with the Oak Leaves.
