Handwritten Letter of Recommendation for the Position of "Menaker."
Rabbi Koppel Reich (1838 - 1929) was the Av Beis Din of Budapest and one of the leading rabbis of Hungary. He was a close disciple of the Ksav Sofer who chose him as a mentor for his son, and was sent as part of a group of top boys from the Preshburg Yeshivah to the courtyard of Rabbi Chaim of Sanz. Before his appointment as Av Beis Din of Budapest, he served as Av Beis Din of Verboy in place of his grandfather, Rabbi Yaakov Charif Altenkunstadt.
