A MILITARY LITHOGRAPH BY PYOTR GUBAREV CA 1867
A lithograph on paper depicting Nikolaev Cavalry School. St. Petersburg, edition of the Russian Military Chronicle. Drawn on the stone by Smirnov, lithographed by V. Darleng. Gubarev Pyotr Kirillovich (1818-?) - Russian watercolorist and painter. From 1832 he studied at the St. Petersburg Academy of Arts with A.G. Varneka, in 1836 was awarded a small silver medal, in 1838 - a large silver medal. In 1839 he received the title of artist of historical and portrait painting.
