A PAIR OF RUSSIAN SILVER CANDLE STICKS BY I. SZEKMAN, CA. 1900
A pair of Imperial Russian silver candlesticks. Designed as a footed Corinthian column with embossed Neoclassical decor. Russian silver hallmarks: I. Szekman, MK (two Cyrillic letters), Warsaw 800 silver mark and kokoshnik are on the base of both pieces.
Weight: 520 g.
Footnote: Izrael Szekman was a Jewish silversmith based in Poland, Russian Empire at the time, active from the 1890s to 1910s.
