Exodus 3:8-6:2 recounts the pivotal moment when God calls Moses to lead the Israelites out of slavery in Egypt and into the Promised Land.
God's Promise to Moses (Exodus 3:8-10):
God reveals to Moses that He has seen the suffering of the Israelites and heard their cries for help.
He promises to deliver them from the Egyptians and bring them to a "good and spacious land, a land flowing with milk and honey" – the land of Canaan.
