RACHEL: (1821-1858) Rachel Felix. French actress. A.L.S., Rachel, one page, 8vo, n.p., n.d., to an unidentified correspondent, in French. The actress informs her correspondent that she could not get a box at the Palais Royal, remarking 'Je ne t'ecris pas ma soiree, qui le croirai' (Translation: 'I'm not writing to you about my evening, who would believe it') and concluding by asking her correspondent if they are going to a performance (?) and whether they will be able to give her a seat in their box.
