CASSATT MARY: (1844-1926) American Painter, one of 'Les Trois Grandes Dames' of Impressionism. A.L.S., `Mary Cassatt´, two pages, 8vo, Villa Primerose, Dinard, 20th October, n.y., on the Mesnil-Beaufresne, Oise, printed stationery, in French. Cassatt refers to the terrible events occurred and states in part `J´espere que vous avez pu acoir autour de vous les votres durant les terribles évenements, vu qu´au moins vous n´avez pase u a pleurer aucun de vos proches. Quelle horrible période nous traversons!´ (''I hope you were able to have your beloved ones close to you during the terrible events, at least you did not have to mourn any of your beloved ones. What a horrible time we are going through!'' Cassatt further comments a piece of furniture she wishes to ship to her sister, from Paris to Philadelphia.
