Obverse: Showcasing James Earl Fraser's American Indian profile design first introduced on Buffalo 1913 along with the text "Liberty" located in the upper left corner.
Reverse: Depicts Black Diamond, an American bison (buffalo) who lived at the Central Park Zoo in the early 20th century, on top of a dirt mound. Fraser sketched this design at New York's Central Park Zoo.
