Two Prints – Map of Eretz Israel and Plan of the Third Temple – Jerusalem, Ca. 1900
Two prints, map of Eretz Israel and Plan of the Third Temple in Yechezkel, according to the Gaon of Vilna. [Jerusalem, ca. 1900].
Various measurements were added to the plan of the Third Temple by the publisher R. Ze'ev Grossman, as stated in the heading of the print. Printed at the foot of the map of Eretz Israel: "The price of the picture is 5 kopecks, proceeds go to… Beit Midrash Eliyahu… named after… the Gaon of Vilna… in Jerusalem, founded in 1897, 100 years after the passing of the Gaon". The map was printed in Jerusalem and presumably intended for distribution in Russia.
[2] leaves. 29X24 cm. Fair-good condition. Stains. Folding marks. Closed and open tears (primarily to margins and folding marks), affecting maps, professionally restored with paper, with photocopy replacement in several places. Matted.
