Black hat; black and white houndstooth check dress from the wardrobe of Rebbetzin Chaya Mushka Schneersohn, wife of the Lubavitcher Rebbe, and of her sister Rebbetzin Chanah Gurary, wife of R. Shemaryahu Gurary – daughters of Rebbe Rayatz of Lubavitch. [1940s-1950s].
Enclosed: a handwritten note (in English), signed in Hebrew by Rebbetzin Chanah Gurary (1899-1991), eldest daughter of Rebbe Rayatz: "I hereby gift… an outfit that my sister and I wore in the 1940's – 1950's". Dated 12th February 1989.
