מכתב מאת האדמו"ר רבי מנחם מענדל שניאורסון – הרבי מליובאוויטש, חתום בחתימת יד קדשו. ברוקלין, ניו יורק, ערב ראש השנה תש"כ [1959].
מודפס במכונת כתיבה על נייר מכתבים רשמי של הרבי, וחתום בחתימת יד קדשו.
נשלח אל הרב חיים שלום סגל, לרגל הולדת נכדתו שרה שפרה, בת לבתו מרת יהודית. במכתבו מברך הרבי: "הנה יה"ר מהשי"ת [הנה יהי רצון מהשם יתברך] שהורי' שיחיו יגדלוה לתורה ולחופה ולמעשים טובים מתוך הרחבה, והוא וזוג' תי' ירווה מהם רוב נחת חסידותי". את מכתבו מסיים הרבי בברכה לרגל השנה החדשה: "בברכת מזל טוב וכתיבה וחתימה טובה".
הרה"ג הרה"ח ר' חיים שלום הלוי סגל (תרע"ח-תשמ"ג), מייסד ומשפיע בית הכנסת חב"ד "בית יהודה" בשכונת נחלאות בירושלים, דור שישי לבעל התניא. עסק עשרות שנים בפירוש רש"י על התורה וחיבר את סדרת הספרים "תוספת רש"י" על התנ"ך.
