Books of Rishonim – First Editions
1. Orechot Hayim, Rabbi Aharon son of Ya’akov Ha-Cohen of Lounill. Firenze, [1750]. First edition. Matches the “Orach Hayim” section of the Shulchan Aruch. Approbations from the Rabbis and Rabbinical Judges of Italy. (Moth damage).
2. Shitah Lo Noda’ Le-Mi, on Masechet Kidushin. “Innovative commentaries from Masechet Kidushin, by one of the Rabbis… his name is unknown”. Constantinople, [1751]. Commentaries by the Rishonim on Masechet Kinim at the end of the book. The title page’s wording is different in this copy and it apparently comes from a later print. (Owner’s signature).
3. Shitah Le-Harav Ha-Meiri [Beit Ha-Bechirah], on Masechet Yevamot. Salonika, [1794]. Foreword ,after the title page, by Rabbi Michael Raphael Shabtai Abulafia, fundraiser from Tiberias who found the manuscript at his relatives’ house, the Alfandari rabbis’ family of Constantinople. (Owner’s ink-stamp: Rabbi Mordechai Izik Rabinowitz, Av Beit Din of Memel).
4. Ha-Pardess, by Rabbi Shlomo son of Yitzchak (Rashi). Rashi and Rishonim Halachic rulings. Constantinople, [1802].
Varying sizes and condition.
