Beit Va'ad HaKehilah (42 Rothschild Boulevard) was one of the first public buildings in Tel Aviv. Housed the Chief Rabbinate, the Rabbinical Court, Hevra Kadisha and other religious institutions. Most weddings in Tel Aviv in the 20s and 30s were held on its roof, in the open air.
