"Flowers and Views of the Holy Land" – an Album of Color Lithographs and Pressed Flowers – Olive Wood Binding
Flowers and Views of the Holy Land / Blumen und Ansichten aus dem Heiligen Lande / Fleurs et Vues de la Terre Sainte – Jerusalem. Jerusalem: Monsohn lithographic press, [late 19th century or early 20th century].
An album of pressed flowers from Palestine. Each page spread shows pressed flowers and plants (noting the place where they were picked) and color lithographs of Palestinian views.
The album is bound in an olive wood binding; the Dome of the Rock is carved on one side and the caption "Jerusalem" is printed on the other.
[13] leaves, 16X10 cm. Good condition. Strips of tape for reinforcement between the leaves. Stains and minor blemishes. Cloth spine, slightly worn. A handwritten dedication at the beginning of the album.
