1990-w Eisenhower Modern Commem Dollar $1 Graded ms70, Perfection By USCG. As with all the Modern Commemoratives, the Mint produced both an Uncirculated and Proof version of this coin. The Proof coin is much more common as it has a mintage which is almost five times higher than the Uncirculated version. The 1990 Eisenhower Centennial Commemorative Silver Dollar was issued to mark the 100th anniversary of the birth of Dwight D. Eisenhower on October 14, 1890. The coin honors him as a Five Star General and the 34th President of the United States. This is the only US coin to feature two portraits of the same person on the same side of the coin. This example was graded Perfection ms70 by USCG.
