Massive patinated bronze after Frederic Remington's sculpture "Mountain Pass" that depicts the dangers of frontier life with a trapper and his horse descending precariously a rugged mountain path. The details of this sculpture are excellent and the brown patina enhances on the horse and the back of the rider to contrast with the rugged surfaces. Mounted on a marble base. Carved Signature on the lower right: Frederic Remington. Title on bronze plaque: "Mountain Man."
