A real treasure. Shisha Sidrei Mishnah - Savionita/Mantova, 1559-63 - with the rare map of the Temple. Glosses and notations. 

A fine set, almost complete, of one of the most important and earliest editions of the Mishna. 

With the Rambam's commentary, Rabbi Ovadya of Bartenura (second edition), drawings, sketches and illustrations. 

Interesting erasures by the censor - typical of this edition. 

About the printing: the first sections, Seder Zeraim and most of Seder Moed, were printed in Savionita at the printery of Tuvia Poah, in 1559. However, in that sam eyear, the printery closed down and the printing was stopped (see: Yeshayahu Zana, When did the Printery of Tuvia Poah in Savionita Close Down, Kiryat Sefer, VII, 1930-1931. pp. 275-276). Later, the set was completed in mantova, diring the years 1561-1563. Appearing at the end of Seder Taharot (leaf 176a) is a colophon of the publisher: ...והשלמנו את אשר החלו לעשות מהם בסביוניטה... נאם... יעקב בכמ"ר נפתלי הכהן ז"ל מגאזולו... פה מנטובה... בר"ח אלול שכ"ג לפ"ק"

These are the six sections of both printeries. 

Often, erasures by the censor appear on copies of this edition, as is the case on these volumes, especially on tractate Avodah Zarah. 

Seder Zeraim: 20-97 leaves. Missing title page and tractate Berachot (19 first leaves with the title page) - Savionita (Poah) 1559. 

At the end of the volume, a fine printer's mark of Tuvia Poah.
